Changing an Address
You can amend a patient's address in one of several ways, depending on whether the patient is staying with the practice, or moving away:
First edit the Main Address to the new address or use one of the Family household options, see Change of Address within practice area and same TP for details.
- Registration Links practices - This generates a Registration Links - Amendment Transaction.
- Non-Registration Links practices - No action is required.
The patient has moved address, over the boundary to another TP, but is staying with the same GP at the practice.
- Registration Links practices - This generates a Registration Links - Amendment Transaction, a Deduction from the current TP and Acceptance for the new TP, seeAdding and Maintaining Patient Addresses for details.
- Non-Registration Links practices - From the Registration tab, select Change TP, see Adding and Maintaining Patient Addresses for details.
(see Address Change out of Your Practice Area) - this patient has moved address and will no longer stay with the practice. See Patients who die or remove out of practice area.
- For non-Registration Links practices, use Change Status button on Registration, then the Transferred Out reason of Removal to new TP/HB/CSA (see Remove a patient (Change Status) - Non-Reg. Links practices)
- For Registration Links practices, either wait for Deduction Transaction, or request Deduction (seeRemove a patient - Reg. Links only )
You can change the address for one or more member of a family from the Family tab, see Family Tab for details.
From the Registration - Family tab, addresses can be changed using Move to another family, see Family Tab for details.
