Remove a patient - Reg. Links only
Deduction Transaction - Practices that are linked to the TP with Registration Links software cannot transfer permanent patients out themselves (though they can request one, see below). They must wait for the TP to send a Deduction transaction electronically, which changes the patient's registration status to Transferred Out (see Registration Links Summary). When the TP has sent a Deduction Transaction to the practice, the Medical Records flag Records Requested byTP, and Date Records Requested by TP is filled in automatically on the Registration - Other tab as a result of the transaction. You should pack the records up and send them off to the TP, and enter a date in Date Records Sent to TP. See Record Flags - When a patient is removed. The front Daily Status screen in Registration Links reminds you if there are any record outstanding. Run the two Medical Records not received / not Sent Reports from Registration - Action.
Deduction Request Transaction - The practice can make a Deduction Request transaction to the TP if the patient has died, left the area or embarked. See Deduction Request Transaction.
Change patient's address, if known, so out of area - If the patient has moved, you can precipitate a patient deduction by changing the patient's address and generate an Amendment Transaction. If in Scotland, you will need the patient's CHI number for this.
Edit registration status if the patient is non-permanent, their registration status can be edited to transferred out (see Edit Registration status of non-permanent patients (Reg. Links practices).
