What do I need to do?

In order to start using Referral Message Digest for e-Referrals instead of problems, you must:

  • Enable RMD for your practice (must be done by a system administrator and is a practice-wide setting). See Switching on Referral Message Digest.
  • Choose the patient information you wish to automatically add to the RMD (must be done by a system administrator and is a practice-wide setting. See Auto Selection Options.
  • Relevant members of the practice should read the information in this guide on using RMD with the e-Referrals service. See The Referral Message Digest screen.
    Note - You can inactivate Referral Message Digest at any time and Vision 3 then reverts to using problems for sending e-Referral information.
