Product file - Endorsing tab

The Endorsing tab shows you a summary of the endorsing information for the item. You cannot change the information you see here, it just shows you the base information.



NCSO - England & Wales only

If a product is granted the NCSO concession for the month and you are affected by the shortage, you can enable NCSO endorsements.

  • Change the NCSO setting from Never to Sometimes. This will produce a reminder in the Dispensary tab advisory box when this product is dispensed.
  • You can also enable a prompt that will appear whilst dispensing as an additional reminder. Check Display NCSO Prompt.
Note - The Always and Automatically paid options on the drop-down menu are obsolete. The former cannot be selected now and the latter operates with the same results as Sometimes.

Prescription separation - England only

To aid identification of prescriptions that are affected by the prescription separation rule, if you have chosen to print endorsements, it is possible to manually append the word Separate so it is printed at the top of the left hand side of the prescription above the area used for the pharmacy stamp.

This manual option allows you to append Separate for this item if you have configured your system to utilise Prescription separation.

  • Check the  Separate box to mark the prescription accordingly when the endorsement is printed.

The visual alert will also appear on the Dispensary tab whilst labelling any such marked product.

Out of pocket expenses   

When a product that is eligible for an out of pocket expense claim, should it be incurred, the OOPE status is shown as Sometimes. The current threshold is also displayed.
