Patient Record General Structure

The Patient Record is made up of a number of panes, some of which can be included in the different views:

  • Data View pane, with a number of tabs which filter a patient's data in a specific way, for example, Tests, Journal, History, Therapy.
  • Navigation Pane, this summarises the number of records in different categories, for example, consultations, histories, therapies. From here, you can arrange to filter data on the Data View pane, and you can bring up Data Entry screens such as Summary forms or Management Plans.
    See Navigation Pane for details.
  • Alerts pane, a section for missing data, due immunisations, allergies, health promotion.
    See Alerts for details.
  • Data Entry pane, this varies depending on the View. The Data Entry pane appears at the bottom of the screen.
Note - If you maximise the Patient Record screen using Maximise , any subsequent screens you display, for example, blood pressure graph, display in maximum view as well. If the Patient Record screen is not maximised, then subsequent screens may display as overlying windows, and in some cases you may not immediately see the whole of the screen on initial view.
