Requests for Pathology and Specimen Labels
- Requests are types of referrals, designed for pathology tests requests and are options on the Add and List menus.
- Specimen labels can be printed as part of a request or on their own. You must first set up the label design from the Vision 3 front menu - Modules - Label Design - Specimen Labels. You can drag and drop the required fields on to the label design. See Print Specimen Label and Label Design
- Requests are stored under Medical History on the navigation pane, and so can be filtered to list just requests under the Filtered tab. They can also be listed from List - Requests.
- In England and Wales, you can use the Test Requesting interfaces to either ICE or Indigo4 for those hospitals where these are set up. See Electronic Test Requests.
