Patient Selection

The quick way to find a patient is to select Select a Patient or press <F3>. Then at the Select Patient screen, enter a few letters of the patient's surname in Search Details, followed by a space then the first letter(s) of the forename, eg ABB MA for Mark Abbott. Then press Enter or click on Find. If you are not sure of the forename, just enter two or three letters of the surname, eg ABB and press Enter.

This then displays a browse list of patients beginning with the letters you typed in.

Note - As you move up and down the list, the patient's address, communication details if entered (ie home, business, mobile and email details) is shown in the bottom of the window.

Either use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the correct patient you want, then select OK; or just double click on the patient line you want.

When the patient has been selected, their Patient Record screen displays, with their name and age on the title bar at the top of the screen. Usually a consultation is started automatically so you can start entering data straightaway. See also Consultations.
