Next Patient / Patient Select tab on Patient Record
The Next Patient or Patient Select tab has two ways to choose a patient: either from a list of Recent Patients selected in Consultation Manager, or from the usual Patient Select screen (see Select a patient).
Display Patient Data in the following format lets you switch views for the next patient selected. The idea is the receptionist may be working their way through a pile of work, first a repeat prescription, then a test enquiry, then a maternity claim.
- When you have finished entering data for your current patient, switch to the Next Patient tab, and if necessary, select a different view in Display Patient Data in the following format suitable for the patient you are about to select.
- Then select the next patient.
