Extending an Appointment Duration

You can change the expected duration of a slot, if required, by changing the Expected Duration:

This can be done:

• When initially booking an appointment, see Booking an Appointment for details if required or

• By editing an appointment, see Editing an Appointment for details if required.

If you extend an appointment into another appointment slot, a warn displays:

Select Yes to continue. Affected slots display as greyed out in Book a new appointment:

An appointment can be booked in a greyed out slot, the booking form displays with an overrun warning :

Select OK to confirm the booking. The appointment displays greyed out in the Reception view to indicate an overrun slot:

Please note the following for extended appointments:

• Clinician List screen - Extended duration does not display.
• Special Bookings screen - Edit an Appointment to display the booking form and duration.
