Report Index and Printing a Patient Report

With a patient selected, you can print a report integrating the patient's data with the report. To print for a group of patients, see Select Guidelines Screen, Reports Index, View and Print for details.

To view a patient's report on screen has a different approach, see Viewing a Report on-screen and the Options for details.

  1. From Consultation Manager, select a patient in the usual way.
  2. Select Reports Index , or press Shift + F12 on your keyboard and the Reports Index displays.
Note - If you Select Local Index , the Local Reports Index displays reports you and your practice have created and added to the Reports Index.
  3. The main Reports Index lists the system patient reports which come with Vision 3, for example, All Consultations, All Medical History and All Test Results.

Like the Guideline Index, the main Reports index (V_REPORTS) has a first line called Local Reports Index (U_REPORTS) to list any locally created reports. This Local Reports Index (U_REPORTS) is initially empty, and you need to add your own reports to this Reports Index screen (see the last step of Quick Summary - Add a New Report).

  4. Double click on the report heading you want in order to print one of these reports, integrating the data from the currently selected patient.

For example, the All Consultations report gives a chronological list of the patient's consultations, and any clinical data or therapy entered during these.

  5. The report will be printed straightaway without an on-screen view.
Note - If you want to view the report on-screen before printing, you have to select it from the Select Guideline screen then select View. Once displayed, you can then go on and print. When creating a Report, if you select Local Guideline in the Category on the Header screen instead of Report, then this always provides an on-screen view when double clicked from an index. Selecting Report in Category always goes straight to printing, see Guideline and Report Header for details.
Note - To print this topic select Print in the top right corner and follow the on-screen prompts.
