ECS Summary Management screen Overview

The ECS Summary Management screen currently includes:

  • Emergency Care Summary (ECS) - ECS provides up to date information about allergies and GP prescribed medication for use in care contexts where clinicians do not have access to the core GP record. See Emergency Care Summary.
  • Key Information Summary (KIS) - KIS is an extension to the ECS. It provides additional data to ECS for use in care contexts where clinicians do not have access to the core GP record. See Key Information Summary.
  • Electronic Palliative Care Summary (PCS) - Much of the Palliative Care Summary (PCS) data is shared with the KIS screen and is intended to provide additional palliative care data for use in care contexts where clinicians do not have access to the core GP record PCS. See Palliative Care Summary.

The sharing of any patient data via the ECS Management screen is dependent on the relevant patient consent being recorded. For details on how to record consent please refer to Summary and Consent Status.

This guide explains how to access and record data using the ECS/KIS/PCS Summary Management screen.
