Guidelines/Reports Design - Defaults
You will most likely want lines of the same type, for example, all sub-headings, or all patient data lines, to display the same properties of font, colour, level, text indent. To a certain extent, there are default properties already assigned to, for example, sub-headings which always appear larger and in a different colour to patient data lines. Patient data lines are in a smaller font, and word wrapped.
The category defaults for a sub-heading differ from those in other line categories in that they are dependent on the level at which they appear. This allows you to distinguish between main headings and subsidiary headings, for example, by using a larger font for headings at level one, and a smaller font for those at level two.
Note - You need only go into defaults and adjust the settings if you wish to apply a particular style to an individual line within a report form, in order to emphasise it, or lessen its importance. Otherwise skip this section.
