Extending the Duration of an Appointment

You can change the length, duration, of an appointment at the time of booking. To update the duration:

1. Select the appointment required.
2. Select the patient in the usual way, see Searching for a Patient or select Special Booking, see Making a Special Booking.
3. From Duration, update the time required:

   

4. A The proposed duration for this appointment overlaps with another appointment/slot message displays at the top of the booking form:

   

5. Select either Book and Print or Book as appropriate.
6. A Booking overruns free slots message displays, select either:

• Replace Slots - this removes the overrun slots from the view.
• Keep Slots - leaves the overrun slots in the view, the slots are greyed out to indicate they are not available.
