Consent Preference for SCR

Following your SCR Go-live or for existing SCR practices when SCR 2.1 is installed, you are required to run a process called Consent Migration. This process copies locally held dissent preferences to the Spine. Consent preferences are now part of the patient synchronisation process. Each time a patient is selected in Consultation Manager, their consent status is checked with the Spine, if the patients consent is dissent on the Spine or in the local record, but not both, an Access Control Service (ACS) mismatch message is created. See Consent Migration for further details.

Once you are live if the patient decides to opt out of SCR, recording a consent preference of dissent will automatically update the Spine. The patient's record is updated. Patients who dissent have a local record (National Summary) but this is not sent to the Spine. No SCR is available for the patient on the Spine.
