Difference between unlinked and decoupled patients

Unlinked patients are not synchronised with the PDS. Synchronisation is automatically be attempted the next time the patient is selected. National Services such as the e-Referral Service, Summary Care Record, GP2GP and EPS are disabled for this session only.

Decoupled patients are not synchronised with the PDS and National Services such as the e-Referral Service, Summary Care Record, GP2GP and EPS are disabled. Synchronisation is not attempted until the record is recoupled with the PDS.
