Logging into Vision 3

To log into Vision 3:

Note - English practices only, see Logging into Vision 3 Using your Smartcard - England only for details.
  1. From your Windows desktop, double click Vision 3 .
  2. The Vision Login screen displays:

    Training Tip - Hover over the Information Point to display the Login Name tooltip, if you select the Information Point the message displays in full, select OK to close.

    Complete as required:

    • Login Name - Enter your log in name.
      Training Tip - If you have forgotten your Login Name, your system administrator can find it for you from Management Tools - Control Panel - Security, see Viewing the Current User List in the Management ToolsHelp Centre for details.
    • Password - Enter your password, asterisks display for each character.
      Note - The first time you log in you are prompted to change your password. Passwords must be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 characters long, one of the characters must be non-alphabetic.
    • Site - If you have more than one surgery location, select your required location from the list available.
  3. Select OK.

Note - Please read the warning about unauthorised access being an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, which displays on all login screens.

If any of your staff in the practice cannot log on for any reason, make sure they know who to go to in the practice for help, usually the System Administrator.
