Editing Slot Types

You can update the details of a Slot type if required.

To update a Slot type:

  1. From the Appointments Setup menu, select Slot types .
  2. The Slot types screen displays:

  1. Select the slot you want to update.
  2. If it is only the name that needs editing, select the slot name enter the correct one:

    Or, select Edit .

  3. The Edit Slot Type screen displays:

  1. Update the details as required, see Adding a Slot Type for further details if required.
  2. Select Apply to save the changes.

  3. Select Save to save your changes, Reset to cancel any changes or Sort (A-Z) to reorder the list.

Updating Rows

The following notifications display on the screen when additions, modifications and deletions are made:

  • Addition - Adding a new row.

  • Modification - Modifying an existing row.

  • Deletion - Deleting rows.

Note - The notifications disappear once you save or reset the changes, a warning symbol displays if the change cannot be made, for example, if the name you are using is already in use.

Important - To facilitate reporting on vaccination appointments any COVID vaccination appointment slots should have a Slot Type of COVID VACS. This is essential in England however it is recommended elsewhere to help manage your appointment books. See Slot Types Overview for more information.
