MDS Options

There are several utilities to help you keep your care home records in order:

From the MDS screen, select Options:

Select the utility required:

New Home - See Adding and Maintaining a Nursing Home for details.

Edit Current Period - See Edit Current Period for details.

Refresh Dispensing Times

You can change the length of a period from 7 to 28 days or vice versa, see for details. You must highlight the patients affected and select Refresh Dispensing Times to recalculate the patient's regular medication to the new schedule.

Update No Of Cassette Sheets

If you make any changes to the number of cassette sheets required in the details of the nursing home, highlight the affected patients and select Update No Of Cassette Sheets so the correct number of sheets are produced.

Remove Empty Future Cycles

Pharmacy Manager analyses the medication periods for the selected home and, starting with the date furthest in the future, checks if the period can be deleted base on:

• No patient in the care home for the period has any item in any other state than regular.
• The period does not cover today's date
• The period is not the only period for the care home
