Cancelled Prescription Items

 

A prescriber (or other authorised staff working in the GP practice where the prescription was generated) may cancel one or more items from the prescription, but not the whole prescription, whilst leaving the remaining items are for dispensing.

 

The prescriber may decide that one item is not suitable after the consultation but before the prescription has been dispensed. The prescriber will send a cancellation message to make the adjustment.

 

  • Double click on the red highlight

  • Expired item information is displayed in a pop-up window.

  • This includes the item name, the original dispensed quantity and the dosages & directions

  • Click the OK button to close the pop-up window
