Passive Calculators on the Alert Indicator Screen

The Vision+ alert popup also displays a predicted risk for a patient. The calculation is based on the patient's previously recorded data and covers the following Risk Calculators:

• ASSIGN
• CHA2DS2-VASc
• Diabetes Risk score
• QRISK2

To Review the Passive Calculation

1. Click the Show Other Indicators icon on the Vision+ floating toolbar.

   Note - By default QOF alerts appear when you select a patient in Consultation Manager. To combine both QOF and non QOF alerts eg the passive calculation, refer to Vision+ Settings - Combine Triggers in the on-screen help.

2. If a calculation can be performed eg the patient has all the relevant data, you see the patient's risk in brackets.

   Note - If a calculation cannot be performed because the patient is outside the criteria you see the prompt 'Unable to provide predicted calculation''.

3. To view and record the passive calculation for the patient double click on the line that has the risk score in brackets or select the calculator icon on the toolbar.
