Using the Right Mouse Menu

The right mouse menu provides additional viewing, adding and editing options at various places on the Patient Record, and on the Summary screens or Lists of clinical data.

By pointing at a specific entry, line or field prompt within a window on a form, or list of entries, and clicking with the right mouse button, you display the following options:

  • Item View
  • Check Condition
  • Reprint (Therapy only)
  • Show Prescription (Therapy only)
  • Create MED3 (History only)
  • Source/Actions
  • Links
  • More

On a keyboard, Shift-F10 is equivalent to a right mouse click, if the required line is first highlighted.

Once the list displays, click with the left mouse button on the function you want.

For example, point the mouse at a BP field on a Summary Form, click with the right mouse, then click Add with the left mouse.

Note - The right mouse menu always applies only to the item at which the mouse cursor was pointing when the menu was displayed.

Some of the right mouse options may be disabled (these appear faint), depending from where you made the click, and whether a consultation is open. If Add is disabled, it means a consultation must first be started.

The title bar of the currently displayed screen displays the mode it is in, for example, Smoking - Add, Alcohol - Update.

Exceptions to the right mouse menu:

  • When pointing to a line on the Medical Records Overview column of the Patient Record, a right mouse click on most lines shows the choice of either Summary Form or in some cases, Data Grid, or Management Plan, so you can view existing entries and make new data entries.
  • Right mouse click within a Management Plan on the far right column brings up the usual menu (Item View, Graph, List, Add etc), but on any column other than that does include Graph, Add, as well as Suppress Rows, Suppress Empty Rows, Restore all Rows. See Management Plans.
