Choose Appointments Books

The appointment list defaults to the GP currently signed on, or is blank if the staff member does not have an appointments book. Any user can choose an appointment book from the picklist. For example, some practices use an appointments book called Treatment Room, so any nurse signed on can select this option. This option is only available from the Today AM or Today PM tabs.

If Booked only is checked, any unfilled appointment slots are hidden. Also shown are the time of the session, how many patients have booked appointments, and the current time. This option is only available from the Today AM or Today PM tabs.

Each appointment slot is shown by time, patient name, additional information depending on what has been set up (eg, date of birth, telephone number), any Comments, a Status column followed by two columns, Arrived and Wait. Comments added in Appointments module are shown by the appointment. Any permanent Notes added to the Booking Form in the Appointments module are also visible in the Booking Form in Consultation Manager when the clinician views the appointments from his/her list. If booking form not displayed when appointment is highlighted, either press Esc to display it, or right click and View Appointment Details.

There are four buttons: Today AM (morning session), Today PM (afternoon session), Other and Free Slot (see below).

On the Appointments tab, the patient's booking form is shown in the bottom pane. As you scroll down the appointments list, the booking form details change to match the patient. You can quickly click down a list of patients to scan their booking details. On a blank slot, it will revert to the currently selected patient, if any.

Overrun appointments - Consultation Manager Appointments List - When an appointment overruns the following slot(s) with a long expected duration, the slot(s) overrun are greyed out (though you can still book appointments in them).
