Highlight from Navigation Pane

Secondly, the other way is to highlight one or more of the lines on the left-hand navigation pane. You can do this despite what is set up (as described in the previous paragraph.

For example, click on Lifestyle in the MRO column (if the patient has records, ie the line is coloured red). The Filtered tab displays automatically with the Lifestyle entries.

If you are clicking on a category heading, eg Medical History, Miscellaneous, Test Results, this shows all the data entries within that category. Control-click selects more than one category heading at a time.

To display specific entries on Filtered tab - On the Vision 3 Framework, you just need to click on the plus by the line you want to expand it, then click once on a sub-level line, or several lines (Control-Click) for these categories to appear under Filtered. You can also click on the top line Initial Filter and right click and save your selection (see Navigation pane on Vision 3 Framework).

For example, if Medical History is highlighted, the Filtered tab will list the Medical Histories by priority, sensitive items (priority 0), any Referrals and Requests, Absence of Condition, and Family History.

To see a list of referrals only, click on the Medical History icon in the MRO column, then click on the Referrals and Requests line.

To display several different categories on the Filtered View atonce, use Control-click on several lines on the navigation pane. If you want to be very specific in your filtering, first expand the category (click on CM PRV Expand Icon) and click to expand and display its sub-headings (eg Priority 3 items, Referrals and Requests). Expand the sub-headings of other categories, eg Therapy. From the expanded tree then use Control – click (hold the Control key down and selectively click) to highlight the items you would like shown on the Filtered tab.

This is very useful when you want to copy text (highlight and Control – C) and paste it (Control – V) into Notes, or Referral letters.

If you have filtered the acutes and issues of Therapy data by clicking on the Therapy icon on the MRO, then clicking on the Acutes and Repeat Issues line, you can right click on a line under Filtered and select Reprint to reprint that prescription.
