Medical Report for Insurance Purposes
A template allows Vision users to create a medical report for insurance purposes as a Word document. It automatically extracts data from the Vision database to produce a report that can then be edited.
The information extracted should be reviewed by a GP and any items removed that are not relevant to the patient’s insurance report.
The template is stored in P:\WORDPROC\TEMPLATE.
There are two versions of this template in DLM 235.
- Users who have Word 2003 (or above) installed on the Vision Workstation should use the template named Insurance_Report.doc (or .docx)
- Users who have Microsoft Word installed on the Vision Workstation should use the template named Insurance_Report for Word 2002.doc The difference is that Word 2002 and Word 2000 users cannot edit the template.
When in template form, the document has areas that are protected from editing. It can, however, be edited in full when used in Consultation Manager.
