Security Overview

The Security menu is only available if:

  • Registration Links is switched on and
  • You are signed on as a System Manager.

Security offers the following:

  • Deduct Patient, see Security - Deduct Patient for details.
  • Amend NHS No. (England & Wales only), Amend CHI Number(Scotland only), Amend H+C Number (Northern Ireland only), see Amending an NHS Number/CHI Number/H+C Number for details.
  • Clear Medical Records flag, see Clear Medical Records Flag for details.
  • Approve patient, see Approving a Patient for details.
  • Clear FP69 Status, see Clear FP69 Status for details
    Note - The above options are used only if the link between the practice and the TP/HB is not working or if there is a mismatched transaction in Registration Links. You should contact your TP (Health Authority or Health Board) before carrying out any of the Security options. If your link is down, from Vision 3 - Control Panel - File Maintenance - Organisations, select the TP/HB concerned and change the Link option from Yes to Down, before carrying out any Security functions.
