nGMS Contract Guidelines

Please note that we will NOT be publishing any further updates to this Guideline, and you are encouraged to use Vision+ instead.
The nGMS Quality Outcome Framework for 2017-18 for England is published with v37/38 of the Business Rules, and Vision have rewritten the Guidelines to match.
This self-extracting zip file will extract all the files required for the guideline into folder "o:\download\guidelines\gpcontract\v37". The guideline will automatically import into Vision, and also allow you to delete old versions - you are urged to do this. The index name for this version is "&&NCQIV37"
The Read code Triggers are included in this file, but they still need to be installed separately - use the button on the Guideline.
Version 37.0.0/38.0.0 Added 23/11/2017 - no QOF changes since v36, but updates to Vaccinations to include the 6-in-1.
Patch for CHA2D2-Vasc added 17/06/2019 - The calculator is not currently available from Vision+, but if you call it from within the Guideline, it brings up the Framingham CHD Risk Calculator instead. This patch will present a message instead.

As there is one very small change to the Rules for 2018/19, this Guideline is still valid for the v2018-19 1.0W (v36) Business Rules.

The Guideline has been written to assist practices in the recording of permissions for Data sharing, which includes the SCR (Summary Care Record) and Care.data. It also contains a section for Sensitive data which is excluded from extraction by the Care.data project.
An audit has also been published to support the monitoring of data sharing.

Here is a guideline for the electronic Palliative Care Summary scheme (ePCS) in Scotland.
It standardises data entry and guides the user through the steps required to successfully record information for patients on the Palliative Care register and transmit records of consenting patients to OOH via the ECS extraction process.
Version 2 of the ePCS Guideline (EPCS2) contains a new section to facilitate the inclusion of relevant diagnoses and surgery. This Guideline replaces any previous versions.

This Guideline has been requested by a practice and written to help practices record data for Safeguarding vulnerable Children and Adults.
It contains date filters which will show the children’s section for all patients aged under 18yrs and show the adult section for all patients aged 18yrs and over.

The South East Wales Cardiac Network (SEWCN) have, with some technical help from INPS, produced a referral guideline and print out report in order for practices to ensure that they have the correct data for each patient who is being referred.
The User Guide available here contains instructions on the use of the guideline and the suggested Read Codes which have been used, these are in line with the Cardiac Disease National Service Framework for Wales published in September 2008.
