Guidelines - Patient Advice
Guidelines print out either a prescription or a piece of patient advice, but not both. For example, if a patient presents with the common complaint of 'I can't sleep', there may be a list of things the patient can do or avoid in order to help them sleep.
Text for this is would be stored in the Guideline under the line category of 'Advice for Patient'.
You can create your own patient leaflets, store them on a folder and reference them from within a Guideline.
- From Consultation Manager, with the Guideline required selected and in Maintenance mode, select Patient Advice . This automatically includes both a sub-heading line and a text line.See Guidelines - Text for details.
The main difference between Patient Advice and other text lines is that whenever you print this information, an entry of Advice Given is made on the patient's record.
To print out advice for a patient during a consultation:
-
