National Summary Roll Out
The National Summary rollout process is as follows:
Your patients have been contacted about their Summary Care Record and have been given the opportunity to opt out should they wish. It is the practice's responsibility to ensure new patients are aware of SCR in the practice.
On the day designated by your ICB for your SCR go-live you have the following tasks to perform:
- Switch on SCR functionality - See Enabling/Disabling SCR for details.
- Run the Consent Migration upload - See SCR Modules - GP Summary Bulk Uploads - Consent Migration in the Spine Services Help Centre for details.
- Run the Initial Upload - This is a one-off upload of all non-dissenting patient summaries (Core Data) automatically compiled and sent to the NHS Spine. See SCR Modules - GP Summary Bulk Uploads - Initial Upload in the Spine Services Help Centre for details.
Note - RBAC must be fully enabled (as for EPS R2) at your Practice before SCR can be enabled. You must contact your Registration Authority or those responsible for maintaining your Smartcard prior to your go-live day.
