Editing AMS Items

When acute medication items have been sent via AMS, it is possible to amend some of the medication fields. An amendment reason is recorded and a prescription amendment message is sent.

1. From Consultation Manager, select Therapy and highlight the item to edit.
2. Right click and select Edit.The following details can be edited:
   • Quantity
   • Prescriber Endorsements
   • Dosage (instructions for use)
   • Preparation (prescribed units)
3. Make the required changes and then select OK to save and close.
4. The Prescription Amendment Reason screen displays, select a reason for the edit:
   • Previous error correction
   • Prescriber change
   • Prescriber addition
   • Pharmacist request
   • Patient request
   • Other
5. Add any free text required in Additional text (max 350 characters).

   Note - Additional text is mandatory if Other is selected.

6. Select OK to save and close.
