Activities of Daily Living Guidelines

There are two guidelines for Activities of Daily Living which appear under the Guidelines tab of all the Community Views (see Community Views Patient Record):

• Activities of Daily Living - Patient Information - Display of previously recorded patient information (Mnemonic: adlrep) - Domestic Activities of Daily Living (for example, ability to perform catering, cleaning, shopping), Leisure and Community Activities of Daily Living (for example, ability to travel), and Personal Activities of Daily Living (for example, bowels, bladder)
• Activities of Daily Living - Data Entry Index - Data entry of new information (Mnemonic: adl, and embedded within it, adl_2)

The guideline adl_2 is the Barthel Index - Personal Activities of ADL.
