Asthma Summary Form

The Asthma Summary Form has fewer entries than the Asthma Management Plan - but both group together all the likely entries needed for managing an asthmatic patient. The entries are similar but the Management Plan displays in grid format, a column for each consultation, while the Summary Form is a tabbed form.

Display the Asthma Summary Form by one of the following:

  • From the navigation pane (Medical Records Overview column) on the Patient Record, click on the Asthma line with the right mouse, and select eitherSummary to display one of the Asthma Management Summary forms. Note that if your Patient Record view does not have a Summary/Data Grid tab, you will only have the right click option of Management Plan.
  • From the Summary Menu - Disease Management - Asthma (or Alt-S, G, A) - This gives the tabbed variety of the form.
  • Or from Optionson Navigation pane (Consultation View), Management - Disease Management - Asthma. Point to Asthma diagnosed and click with the right mouse, selecting Add.

You can also list existing asthma entries under the Filtered tab of the Patient Record by clicking with the left mouse on the Asthma line on the Navigation pane.

The Asthma Summary Form has three tabbed sections of Background, Management and Examination.

To make an entry, point the cursor at a prompt, for example, Asthma Diagnosed, click on the right mouse button, then click on Add. This displays an -Add screen for the entry. As you complete and click OK for each screen, the next screen is automatically displayed. Skip a screen by clicking on Next. A green tick means there is already an entry at this prompt; a red cross means no entry yet.
