Adding an Encounter

To add an Encounter:

Important - A patient record is not locked when you open an Encounter, other users can access and add to the same patient record at the same time.
  1. From Vision Anywhere, open a patient record, see Selecting a Patient for details.
  2. From the Patient Summary screen, select New encounter and the Current Encounter screen displays:

  3. Select an encounter type from the list available, the default is Surgery consultation note:

  4. Select the date and time to update if required:

  5. You can now record your consultation, see Adding Clinical Data for details.
  6. Select Close this Encounter to finish and send the details back to the patient record.
