Allergies
Allergies
If the patient has allergies recorded the Known Allergies alert displays in the patient banner.
The allergies are included in the Patient Summary, and accessed by swiping the screen up.
To access the Allergy view:
- Tap the Allergy > heading.
- Or from the Navigation Menu select Allergies.
Adding Non-Drug Allergy
Vision Anywhere supports the recording of both drug and non-drug allergies.
- Open an Encounter.
- Enter 'a' in the dynamic data entry bar.
- Tap to select non-drug allergy from the quick entry forms.
The add Non-Drug Allergy form displays. - Record allergy by entering the causative agent.
As you type entries display. - Tap to select the allergy.
- Tap the triangle to record:
- Reaction type
Options - Allergy / Intolerance / Adverse Effect - Certainty
Options - Tentative / Unlikely / Possible / Likely / Certain / Absolute - Severity
Options - Minimal / Mild / Moderate / Severe / Very Severe / Potentially Fatal
- Reaction type
- Enter any comments in the Notes field.
- Select Save to finish.
Adding Drug Allergy
Vision Anywhere supports the recording of both drug and non-drug allergies.
- Open an Encounter.
- Enter 'a' in the dynamic data entry bar.
- Tap to select drug allergy from the quick entry forms.
The add Drug Allergy form displays. - Enter a clinical term in the Description field, for example, adverse reaction to penicillins.
Entries return as you type. - Enter the Drug name to record the triggering medication.
As you type entries display.
You can swipe up to access more entries. - Tap to select the drug.
- Tap the triangle to access the pick list and record:
- Reaction type
Options - Allergy / Intolerance / Adverse Effect - Certainty
Options - Tentative / Unlikely / Possible / Likely / Certain / Absolute - Severity
Options - Minimal / Mild / Moderate / Severe / Very Severe / Potentially Fatal
- Reaction type
- Enter any comments in the Notes field.
- Select Save to finish.
