Product Rules are the exceptions to the Order Rules
Order Rules cover the general situations; they are the
defaults that you set up.
Product Rules give specific ordering instructions for particular products.
For example, if the Order Rules state that you should order all
generics from Alpharma, but in this case, you want to order Amoxicillin
from UniChem each time, then you set up a Product Rule.
You can either set them up in this screen individually, by Adding; or go
into the individual item details, (use the test tubes icon
- Product inquiry) and change the order set of the item. If you change
the order set then the system adds it automatically to the Product Rules
screen.
