Sending and Receiving Orders


 

1. Sending an Order

To send an order, click Send. The order will then be sent to the wholesaler or supplier in the format specified in the order set details (e.g. by modem, by fax, manual).

2. Receiving an Order

When an order has been sent by modem, reply messages for each item will have been received from the wholesaler.

  • Items ordered successfully will now be marked as Placed.

  • Items which could not be supplied will be marked as rejected. Further details about rejected items can be found on the Responses tab of the appropriate item's Stock Order Item Details screen, accessed by clicking the item then clicking Details.

If you need to transfer a rejected item to a different order set:

  • Click the item to select it.

  • From the Item menu, select Change Order Set (or press & ).

  • Click the appropriate order set.

  • Click OK.

3. Booking in the Order

When the items are delivered to the pharmacy they need to be booked in. This will increase the stock levels and change the status of the items from Placed to Received.

To book in an item:

  • Click the item.

  • Press .
