Amending a Claimed Prescription

A submitted claim can be amended providing the claim is in the same claim reimbursement window.

To amend a claim:

  1. From the Pharmacy Manager Side Navigation Bar select eMessages . The eMessages screen displays.
  2. Select the Patient Name filter.

  1. Enter the Name of the patient.
  2. Remove the tick from the Only show messages awaiting current action checkbox.

  1. Select the appropriate prescription and select Edit. The Prescription Already Notified screen displays.

  1. Select the appropriate adjustment reason, for example, Medication Update. Select Continue.

  1. The Edit Dispensed Item screen displays. Select Yes.

  1. The Dispensary screen displays with the prescription details. Edit the prescription accordingly.
  2. Select Finish .
  3. Endorse the prescription in the usual way. See .

  4. From the Pharmacy Manager Side Navigation Bar select eMessages .
  5. Select the appropriate prescription.
  6. Select Notify and select Claim. The amended claim is sent to the NHS Spine.
