Training Methods and Resources

Cegedim Healthcare Solutions (CHS) suggests a blended training approach which effectively combines online learning with instructor-led training and support. It caters for all learning styles, allows for both in-depth and bite size education and provides the flexibility for people to learn anywhere, anytime, at their own pace and outside of practice hours if preferred. Training is contextualised and task-based ensuring learning is specific to each end user. A combination of the following training methods and resources are used:

Delivery method Description
eLearning

Modular or bite-sized courses with conceptual information, interactions, simulations, video demonstrations and quizzes. Courses are engaging and interactive and can be slotted into a busy working day or completed at a time that suits (outside of practice hours if preferred). All elearning courses are available on the Learning Zone and progress is trackable by Practice Managers and key stakeholders at the Health Board. For more information about the Learning Zone, see The Learning Zone.

Webinars Online, presentation and demonstration-style training that links theory and practice. Delivered by a CHS Trainer using Microsoft Teams. Webinars provide the opportunity for practice staff, non-practice staff and eHealth facilitators to develop their knowledge gained from elearning, engage with the trainer and ask questions. Ideal for pre-live training and Question and Answer sessions. Webinar duration can vary depending on topic but are usually no longer than 2 hours. There is no restriction on the number of delegates attending webinar sessions.
Floor Walking On-site, on the job training reinforcing learning in a realistic and meaningful way. Trainers also have the opportunity to talk and support learners on a one-to-one basis and provide coaching. Ideal for Implementation and Go Live training days.
Classroom Based Training One of our experienced trainers demonstrates and explains theories, concepts and processes whilst learners have the opportunity for ‘hands on’ experience of using the software. Training days usually run from 10 am - 4 pm and can be delivered at a venue or via an online environment (dependent on numbers), ideal for facilitator training. The maximum number of delegates per classroom based training session is six. Delegate numbers can be increased to a maximum of twelve if two CHS trainers deliver training. If delivering at a venue, the appropriate setup must be available, for example, power, access to the training environment and must also be able to accommodate the number of delegates attending.
Online Help Centres Integrated into the products and apps, you are only ever ‘one click’ away from help topics, task based video tutorials and frequently asked questions.
Knowledge Base A searchable self-service online area where you can find learning materials, product information, user guides, quick references, help centres, hints and tips and troubleshooting information.

Evaluating the Training Programme

Throughout the migration process Cegedim Healthcare Solutions continually monitor and evaluate the training approach, adjusting and making changes where indicated. We do this using the following:

  • Course surveys at the end of elearning.

  • Evaluation forms at the end of training, click here to complete a Training Evaluation.

  • Assessment forms completed by the trainer during and after training.

  • Electronic Sign off form completed by the trainer.

  • Verbal feedback.

It is therefore important that you complete and submit your evaluation, feedback and survey forms.
