JBS 2 CVD Risk Calculator

The JBS 2 CVD Risk Calculator is based on the Joint British Societies guidelines for the prevention of CVD. It uses existing data such as Age/Sex, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Smoking Status to calculate a predicted risk.

The lower part of the screen displays historical information, or can be used to capture relevant data. Any data that has already been collected by the calculator is automatically pre-populated.

Accessing the JBS 2 CVD Risk Calculator

  1. From Consultation Manager, select Vision+ from the floating toolbar and select Calculators - Cardiovascular - JBS 2 CVD.

  2. The JBS 2 CVD Risk Calculator displays:

    • Select Add Data to add/update any missing patient data.

    • Select History to view historical data.
    • To demonstrate a 'What If' scenario select Predicted . Remember, if you decide to record the score you must select Reset .
      Note - Any 'What If' changes to values are not recorded within the patient record.
  3. The CVD Risk prediction is then plotted on the graph and using the legend you can see the CVD Risk over the next ten years.
  4. In Code, select the clinical term to be added from the drop-down list .
  5. Enter an Event Date or select from the calendar.
  6. Select OK to save the Score and clinical term or select OK & Attach to also save the questionnaire.
  7. The appropriate clinical term saves to the patient's record.
