Cancellation Response Message

After you have entered the cancellation reason, a response message returns. This could be successful, the item is cancelled, or unsuccessful, for example, if the pharmacy have already dispensed item, the item cannot be cancelled:

The message could not be transmitted due to a messaging issue.

Prescription not found

This may be because the cancellation message arrived before the electronic prescription. The spine cancels the prescription automatically when it arrives.

If you do not receive a cancellation response or you close Consultation Manager before the response it received, the following warning message displays: 'No cancel verification has been received for the following items for <patient_name><list of items>you should contact the patient or the pharmacy to cancel these items.<pharmacy and patient contact details>OK/Already Cancelled/Continue'.

Note - It is your responsibility to make sure that the patient is informed of any drug cancellations generated at your practice.
