MedLink allows you to send a clinical review and/or information to your patients about their disease or condition, by email or SMS text. Patient responses can then be filed directly into their clinical record.

Once you have finished reviewing a patient response in MedLink:

  1. From MedLink - Workflow - Action, select File to Clinical System .

  2. The Confirm File to Clinical Record screen displays summarising the details of what you are about to write back to your clinical system, select Confirm:

All the coded content from the response is filed directly to the patient clinical record, including a PDF attachment of the patient completed response:

  • In Vision 3 the consultation files as a Consultation type of eConsultation.

  • In Consultation Manager the consultation files as an Encounter type of eConsultation.

Important - Please be aware that if the patient does not provide an email address when they complete a MedLink review/form, MedLink uses the Mobile phone number stored on your system to contact the patient, see Adding and Maintaining Contact Numbers in the Registration Help Centre for details.
