What is ineligible for EPS Phase 3 (Deployed Disabled)?

EPS Prescribing is not possible for the following patients:

Patients who:

  • Are deceased.
  • Are not synchronised with the PDS.
  • Are marked as "sensitive" on the PDS.
  • Do not have a nomination.
  • Have requested not to receive electronic prescriptions, see Recording EPS Exceptions for details.

Medication not eligible for electronic + token prescriptions:

  • Controlled items from schedule 1.
  • Batch prescriptions for Schedule 2 and 3 controlled drugs.
  • Private prescriptions, unless this is enabled in the system.
  • Items without a dm+d code mapping.
  • Items without a dm+d description and unit.
  • Therapy not printed on the left-hand side, for example, private prescriptions, non-FP10 items , discontinued items and non-drug therapies.
  • Practice administered therapy, for example, immunisations.
  • Devices and appliances, including those with dm+d codes.

Medications not eligible for dual prescriptions:

  • Controlled drugs from schedules 1, 2, and 3.
  • Drugs without a dm+d code mapping.
  • Drugs without a dm+d description and unit.
  • Private prescriptions.

Medications not eligible for electronic repeat dispensing:

  • Controlled drugs from Schedule 2 and 3.
