After installing Vision 3.0, MIQUEST data and programs reside on the Vision server rather than a workstation.
It is recommended that MIQUEST is first run on the same workstation that was used for MIQUEST in Vision 2.2 or, if more than one was used, the workstation with the latest searches and results loaded.
The MIQUEST upgrade starts automatically after the user confirms that they want to copy the existing data from here on to the server.
A warning displays that they may be overwriting any new searches, with options to continue, not copy or abandon.
If they continue or not copy, the option is never offered again, and the local files will be marked as having been converted. This option is offered on each workstation that a local MIQUEST system is found and it is the practice's responsibility to ensure that queries are not lost
