Contraindications

Pharmacy Manager recognises contra-indications at two levels.

Contra-indication level 1 means  : A condition or circumstance where the medicinal product should not be used.

Contra-indication level 2 means :  A condition or circumstance where the medicinal product may be used cautiously.

Cautiously usually means increased monitoring or the patient informed to report side effects promptly etc.

Products with multiple ingredients display the constituent contra-indications and cautions in isolation from the influence of other ingredients.

Example

The following example displayed in the Dispensary tab advisory box contains both a contraindication Level 1 (red flag) and a contraindication Level 2 (yellow flag) - use with caution.

The patient record includes the selected conditions. See Conditions for more details.
