Adding Tags
To enable prescribers to search by condition, you can create a list of Tags. Optionally, you can link them to Treatment Stage, Age and/or Sex.
To add a Tag:
- From the Formulary Management screen, double click on the formulary you want to update.
- Select Tags and any existing tags display.
- Select + Add Tag
.
- Complete the Add Tag screen:
- Tag name - Enter a name for this tag, it must be unique, as you complete the options below the second half of the Tag name automatically update, for example:
- 'UTI (urinary tract infection)' - No filtering selected
- 'UTI (urinary tract infection), First line: Over 18: Male' - Filtering selected
- Treatment stage - Select from None (default), First line, Second line or Third line.
- Age - Select from the drop-down list and set the age ranges if required. Enter 'y' for years and 'm' for months, for example, '18y' is treated as 18 years, '18m' returns 18 months.
- Sex - Select from All, Male or Female.
Training Tip - Tag settings cannot overlap, for example, if you have a first line tag for Headache, age range 10y - 60y, you cannot have a second first line tag for Headache, age range 9y - 12y. - Tag name - Enter a name for this tag, it must be unique, as you complete the options below the second half of the Tag name automatically update, for example:
- Select OK to finish and the Tag List refreshes to include the new Tag.
You must now add drugs to your Tags, see Adding Items to a Tag for details.
Training Tip - Remember to review your Tags, items and item defaults on a regular basis to remove discontinued items and reflect newly available or updated items.
