Getting Started

The formulary contains items from the Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (DM+D), optionally each entry can have the following defined.

  • Default prescribed quantities
  • Default dosages
  • Non-overlapping age ranges
  • Gender

The Cegedim Formulary Management Tool also includes the option to create tags for products, these can be used to.

  • Link a product to a treatment pathway

  • Identify first/second/third line of treatment

  • Define an age range

  • Gender

Tags can have different dosage defaults depending on the condition to be treated and can be different from the default dosage information, for example, Trimethoprim has different dosages for acute urinary tract infections or long-term therapy for recurrent infections.
