What is Single Sign On (SSO)?
Single Sign On (SSO) is a way to log into your clinical system using a Smartcard inserted into a Smartcard reader at your workstation, see Logging into Vision 3 Using your Smartcard - England only.
You are logged in according to the role set up on your Smartcard, this enables access to national services. Access to national services allows you access to:

Patient data on the NHS Spine.

Update patient demographic details (PDS).

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).

Transfer records via GP2GP.

Book electronic appointments via the e-Referral Service.
