Guidelines/Reports Design - Style

When you have a report or guideline displayed in design mode, Style allows you to copy specific line properties from a selected line to one or more other lines.

Style also allows you to perform a block update on lines of the same category, for example, sub-heading, patient data.

See Guidelines/Reports Design - Defaults for other options.

To use Style :

  1. From a Guideline, in Maintenance Mode , highlight the line to copy the properties from and select Style .
  2. The Apply Style screen displays. Select the properties to copy and select OK.
Training Tip - Style remains depressed until you either release it by selecting it again, or you double click on a new line.
  3. When you double click on a new line, all the properties selected from the source line transfer to the destination line and Style releases.

The spacing above and below a line is determined by the font used.

Useful options from the Apply Style screen include:

  • Apply manually to multiple lines - Select to set Style as selected until you select it again. This enables you to update the properties on multiple lines without having to select Style each time.
  • Apply to all lines of this category - Select to update the properties of all the lines that are in the same category as the line selected, for example, all Sub-headings. If you want the properties to be specific to the level of the original line, tick Only apply to lines at this level. For example, in the former case, when updating from patient data line at level two, all patient data lines are updated. In the latter case, only those patient data lines at level two are updated.
Note - If you change the category and choose not to select Apply to all lines of this category, then other lines in the report from may display differently. This option changes all the properties on the lines of this category, including level and indent which may not give the desired result. See Guidelines/Reports Design - Defaults for further details.
