When a member of staff leaves
Mail Maintenance only displays a mailbox for staff it considers active. It checks both the inactive flag and the Valid From and To dates in File Maintenance - Staff to determine if the staff member is active. A member of staff is considered inactive if:
- Inactive is ticked, or
- The Valid To date is passed.
This enables you to enter a Valid To date for a member of staff due to leave, where a staff member has already left it is simpler to tick Inactive.
