Lookup

Occasionally pathology results are received without valid Read codes or units of measure, the Lookup tool allows you to view, add and remove:

If a message is received with no recognised Read code, previously translated description or an invalid unit of measure, the result is marked with a red cross .

To map a result line, from the message details, right click on the line with the red cross and select either:

  • Assign Read codes - Offered if a valid Read code is not available, select a suitable code from the Read dictionary, see Lookup - Read Codes for details.
  • Assign Valid Units - Offered if a valid unit of measure is not available, enter a valid unit of measure and a multiple is required, see Lookup - Units of Measure for details.

Results all need a valid Read code and unit of measure before they can be filed to the patient's record.
