Menu Options

The following options are available from the menus within Search and Reports:

Reports Menu

From the Reports menu, you can run the following:

  • Patient Report - Clinical summary for a patient, or group of patients. There are various options available.

  • Target Report - Reports for cervical smear status and reports on the number and percentage of two and five year old children with initial and pre-school immunisations.

  • Referral Report - For referrals not made by an electronic booking system, for example, SCI Gateway or eReferrals, these reports show the number of referrals per provider unit, speciality, inpatient/outpatient.

  • Capitation Report - The number of patients registered with each GP in the practice per quarter.
  • Health Promotion Report - The number and percentage of patients between 15 and 74 years in the five standard health promotion categories. This has been superseded by NHS Health Checks which is included in Clinical Audit.
  • Drug Usage Report - Reports on patients with more than a specified number of current medication items or drug classes.

  • Cervical Cytology Recall Search - Finds patients due for smear recalls, and excludes those patients not eligible. Additional Cytology searches are included in Clinical Audit.

  • Carer Search - Lists carers recorded via Registration.

  • Ad-hoc Search - Build your own searches, based on data from Consultation Manager and Registration.
    Criteria can be saved for a future search and optionally saved as a group. Groups can be further manipulated or used for letters and recalls.
    Groups can also be the input of a search, for example, use the QoF Hypertension register, and look for specific criteria on this group.
    Reports can be saved, and formatted in a number of ways including export to CSV.

  • Print Patient Labels - Print address labels for individual patients, or a group of patients.

  • New Batch - Create batches of searches that can be run together.
  • Clear Schedule - Clears the current list of scheduled searches.
  • Filter - Set / Unset Filter.

Age Bands

The Age Bands menu option allows you to define the age ranges for Capitation Reports, Health Promotion Reports and Age / Sex Report.

Usually the Capitation Report has age bands of 0-4, 5-64, 65-74 and 75-110, this option allows you to modify these.

  • Sort by Name / Sort by Date - The list of saved searches under Ad-Hoc Search & Reporting can be sorted either by Name or by Date.

  • Set Search Filter - Select to filter the display of ad-hoc searches by User(s), Date or Description keyword, for example, asthma.

  • Schedule Mode (or F5) - Toggles the display of the Schedule screen only.

  • Toolbar - Select to display the toolbar.

  • Status bar - Toggles the display of the Status bar at the bottom of the screen. Useful information such as the menu options associated with icons displays.
